Guacamole!!!
Can you tell I am passionate about guac? Everything is better with it. Okay, maybe not everything, but almost everything. This is how we like it in our house. But by all means, add or omit to your taste buds!!
Ingredients:
4 Avocados
1/2 a small red onion, diced
1/2 - 1 whole lemon, juiced or 1-2 whole lime(s) (I use lemon because that is what I always have)
1/4 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 -2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 - 1 whole jalapeño, minced (optional)
a few dashes of tabasco (optional)
Directions:
Scoop the avocados into a medium sized bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix with a fork, mashing along the way. You can leave it chunky or mash to a creamier consistency. Totally your preference. We like it a little chunky :)
You could literally do so much with this. Guac and chips, a side to any of your meals, on top of grilled chicken, in a burger, on toast, with your eggs, in your sandwich. The options are endless!
p.s. Just a little storing tip, place plastic wrap directly on top of the surface of the guac to prevent it from turning brown. Then put the lid on the container. The lemon will also help. Any air that touches the guac will turn it brown.
